I am Wendy Waring-Rix, a registered counsellor (HPCSA) with over 13 years of counselling experience and 16 years in education. I specialize in relationship and marriage counselling, stress and burnout support, career and parenting guidance, special needs, and family counselling - helping clients build resilience, clarity, and stronger connections.

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We will discuss what has brought you to counselling, explore your goals, and begin identifying areas where you would like support. This session is also a space for you to ask questions and ensure you feel comfortable. My role is to provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and understood.
Counselling can be helpful if you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, stressed, experiencing relationship difficulties, navigating parenting challenges, or facing career uncertainty. You don’t need to be in crisis to seek support. Many people come to counselling simply because they want clarity, healthier coping strategies, or stronger relationships. Reaching out is a proactive and empowering step toward wellbeing.
The length of counselling varies depending on your needs and goals. Some clients benefit from short-term, solution-focused support over a few sessions, while others prefer longer-term work to explore deeper patterns and growth. We will regularly review your progress together to ensure the process remains helpful and aligned with your goals.
